I have recently started doing some market research for different companies and it pays very well! I work full time so I’m not available for most things I am offered, but for someone not working it’s a great way to earn money. Most pay around $100 AUD for an hour of your time.

Lots of great ideas here for students to earn money from home. I didn’t realise that you can get work as a fluent English speaker by teaching English on skype. Its something I’d be interested in and I’m not a student… Great post!

It seems to me that students, more than people later in their career, generally do better with an office environment. Rather than working from home, I’d encourage any students I know to try to find an office job or interesting internship.

When I was at uni I was a community nurse and it was hard work. I enjoyed it but it made me very ill. It would have been much better for me to do something like data entry or even teaching, as I did tutoring when I was younger! x

These are all viable options to make some money while preparing for a more reliable and steady income. My only advice is to be careful with the online outfits you join. Vet them first to make sure they will pay for the work you do.

Blogging is a great job but I am not sure I would recommend trying to do it all in one summer and hope to make money unless you already have a blog running. I remember many of my friends doing data entry when they were in college. It makes decent summer cash.
